Want to become a Certified AS-i Engineer? Here’s how…

The Certified AS-i Engineer course is a 2 -day course that teaches the theory and latest practice of the Actuator Sensor Interface. Using a hands-on, practical approach, you will learn how to use AS-i intelligent sensors, actuators and remote I/O in the most efficient and effective way.

Can you afford to learn by trial-and-error? Come and join our training class on AS-i!

We are well equipped and you will expereince many devices and software applications.

Bihl+Wiedemann

You will build, configure and exercise your own AS-interface system from scratch. The course also covers the use of the AS-i “safety at work” profile, which allows AS-i networks to be used in safety-critical systems such as emergency stop and machine protection systems. The course also covers the latest V3.0 specification and techniques for interfacing AS-i networks to higher fieldbus networks like PROFIBUS and Industrial Ethernet.

Who should attend?

The course is designed for Engineers and Technicians who are involved in the planning, design and installation of fieldbus networks as well as those who are involved with maintenance and fault-finding. No previous knowledge of AS-i or other fieldbus systems is required. However, even experienced fieldbus engineers will gain valuable knowledge on how to get the best from this technology.

Certification?

The Certified AS-i Engineer course was developed at Manchester Metropolitan University with the aid of the UK AS-i Users Group. High standards of competency are ensured by written and practical tests within the course. Successful graduates will receive a “Certified AS-i Engineer” certificate.
