The XXXII annual British Zeolite Association Conference was held at the University of Cumbria, Ambleside, in the heart of the beautiful English Lake District from Sunday 23 to Friday 28 August 2009. This was the triennial Chislehurst-style meeting of the BZA, organised along the lines of a Gordon Conference. As with Gordon Conferences, full exchange of ideas among persons who are actively interested in zeolites and related nanoporous materials was the prime purpose of the meeting. Lectures were held both morning and evening with afternoons free for informal discussion and to take advantage of the breath taking local countryside.
