A series of Special Interest Groups are in development, each directly related to one of the following key areas of programme activity which are: Outreach, Enrichment and Enhancement; Widening Participation; Student Support; Careers; Undergraduate Curriculum and Skills; Workforce Development; and Life Long Learning.

Each SIG will provide a level of co-ordination and communication across the HE sector in relation to these thematic areas, and will also assist with the development of the activities of the National HE STEM Programme.

The North West and Yorkshire ’spokes’ will jointly manage the ‘Workforce Development, Higher Skills and Careers’ Special Interest Group.
