The Faculty of Science and Engineering has a strong track record in research.
Our research activity spans a range of disciplines from health to digital technologies and from engineering to the environment and is housed in two research institutes: the Dalton Research Institute and the Research Institute for Health and Clinical Science (for more information click on the links alongside).
Combining leading edge research with a strong record in application of results, the Faculty enjoys collaborations within the UK and overseas, with universities, industry and the public sector and has success in attracting support from a range of public, private and charitable funds.
